Slides – Chapter 2

We learn more from observation than from mere talk. Africa and specifically Nigeria learn silently as the British plunder their end. Since we highly respected them, we too learn their subtle style. This is why African leaders naturally plunder. Until we have people who are intentional in leadership, things will go worse because the new crop of leaders will become more notorious until they overwhelm their world through these self-destructive vices.

Make your citizens the best, then you will naturally give birth to giants and a prosperous nation. Disorient the citizens, weaken them and make them poorer; you will end up leading disillusioned citizens. Nigeria will be great if we begin to raise great citizens.

It is time we question a blueprint that has failed to deliver good governance since independence. If something isn’t working, it would need to be changed or reworked.

We cannot keep blaming the leadership. Our problem is rooted in all of us. We have a bad script that naturally gives birth to bad leadership.

We have to change the script.

Outside of the above listed, we can only dream of a great nation. There’s no shortcut to success; whether in the life of an individual or nation.

Until we painstakingly build policy around the list above, we will only deceive ourselves for a very long time.
